Queen Anne’s got something to wink about.  Wink, a once  catering- only cupcake company opens their retail space Tuesday at 8 am (1817 Queen Anne Ave).   It will be the place for these beautiful cupcakes, coffee, ice cream and a great place to relax after a stroll in the Queen Anne neighborhood.  Wink Cupcakes has been part of two of my food events,  FoodSnap! and Foodportunity and I have to say that the staff at Wink are some of the sweetest people around.

Maybe  cupcakes are the way to the kiddos heart and with a little cupcake power, moms can enjoy the neighborhood toy stores, Once Upon a Time and Urban Kids Play (not that I am encouraging bribing or anything).  For the big kids, there is always room for a sweet treat and some books at Queen Anne Books and if you need some food before your cupcake binge, grab a  soup with a Cuban toast at El Diablo.

  1. It is so great that more delicious cupcake places are opening! It seems that we got a surge here in San Francisco and then it ended. I wrote a post about it in our blog but cupcakeries have unfortunately since then died down. Parties That Cook will be opening in the beginning of February in Seattle and will most definitely be trying out this tasty place!
