As tempted as I am to engage in a succesion of  “jeux de mots” about cheese, I will spare you the cheesiness.

Cheese is one of those simple things that can put a smile on your face. The word “cheese” contains the phoneme /i/, a long vowel which shapes your face into a smile.  This weekend is The Seattle Cheese festival which means you can eat grandiose amounts of cheese, watch cheesemaking demos and drink lots of wine. A complete list of activities and demos can be found here.

The Seattle Cheese Festival is a great preview of what’s happening here this August.  Do not miss this Cheese- a -topia festival.

This weekend, after you eat all the cheese you want, stop by The University Distric Fair for a street festival.

Read about Seattle food events, recipes or just immerse in the food obsession. Check out my other blog in the Seattle PI http://blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/franticfoodie/
