Kristine Kidd and Another Giveaway!

In August, I organized a Seattle Food Blogger Event with Kristine Kidd, the spokeswoman for Williams Sonoma’s New book “Cooking At Home“.  Cichetti hosted us with lovely appetizers and Mc Crea Cellars provided us with lots of wine and flushed happy cheeks.  Thank to the ever -so- talented Valentina Vitols for taking photos.

Kristine Kidd worked as the Food Editor of Bon Appetit magazine for 20 years and has lots of experience developing and writing recipes.

The book has over 1000 recipes of all types, a resource , a one-stop guide. I have been using my copy frequently. Actually since I packed all my cookbooks last week (I am moving today), I decided that I would leave this book out of the boxes because it has all kinds of recipes that are easy yet sophisticated.

Here is more from the press release:

Cooking at Home is timely for year round editorial coverage, as it’s today’s definite guide for inspiring home chefs to cook often, share with others and spread the pleasure of cooking at home. The Weldon Owen editors worked hand-in-hand with Williams-Sonoma founder, Chuck Williams, to craft the requisite resource, which will enable readers to recall the dishes of their childhood, but update these favorites with modern twists.

Here’s a glimpse of the more than 1000 recipes in Cooking at Home that will make readers want to take a “time out” from daily life and share a meal with a friend or loved one:

Everything the modern home cook needs to know can be found in the pages of Cooking at Home.

About About Kristine Kidd, the Spokesperson for Cooking at Home

The dishes she created were often on the cover, and her feature stories were so popular, the recipes are republished in the Bon Appetit cookbooks.

She has been a guest on many radio shows, and has appeared on TV food shows, including The Next Food Network Star, Home Cooking with Amy Coleman, The Home Show, and The Main Ingredient.

Giveaway: Thanks to my laptop, I can type  from the floor with boxes everywhere.  Do you remember the days when computers were only huge monsters on desks ? Anyway, I don’t want to miss out on a giveaway so leave a comment with the reason why you need another cookbook and a winner will be chosen by random number on Wednesday. Thanks for reading.

  1. My partner and I have made a pact to do more cooking at home with the abundance of wonderful ingredients in Oregon. He has agreed to help more as well 🙂 This would be perfect inspiration for our endeavors.

  2. I love getting ideas for dinners. I have the hardest time deciding what to make for dinner for my family. I love reading cookbooks almost like they are novels. I find them so interesting.

  3. Oh goodness, I probably don’t NEED another cookbook, but this one looks massive and absolutely delightful, so I suppose it’s ok to just WANT another cookbook. Right?

  4. Since I love to cook and also collect cookbooks and don’t happen to own this one yet, of course I am in desperate need of another cookbook to browse and cook from.

  5. I need this cookbook but I have only 3 in my possession, and this one dwarfs them in size. I need a good solid cookbook that I can pull out and find any recipe imaginable in it.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to enter. That is one gorgeous cookbook.
