Grilling, Tasting and Dueling – All in a Weekend of Kirkland Uncorked
Learn grilling tips from the pros, taste regional cuisine and watch local chefs
battle it out on the grill at Kirkland’s summer festival of art, food and wine
Kirkland, WA—June 27, 2011—Kirkland Uncorked puts the spotlight on regional cuisine and the ultimate summer activity – grilling! From grilling demonstrations to bite-size feasts from local restaurants and an Iron Chef-style duel on the grill, Kirkland Uncorked has something to bring out the foodie in everyone.

Grilling Demonstrations – Learn grilling tips from the local pros. From the sweet side of grilling with Laurie Pfalzer to the art of filleting a salmon with Russell Lowell, these chefs will share their signature recipes and grilling secrets.

o Friday, July 16 7:00-8:00pm: Laurie Pfalzer, Pastry Craft
o Saturday, July 17 2:00-3:00pm: Matt Williams, Hector’s
o Sunday, July 18 2:00-4:00pm: Russell Lowell, Russell’s, The Garden Cafe at Molbaks, RDL Premier Catering

Restaurant Sampling – Taste and sample some of the enticing bite-sized feasts that Kirkland and Northwest restaurants have to offer. Restaurant samples will be available in the Tasting Garden throughout the weekend from local favorites such as Anthony’s Homeport Kirkland, Hector’s, Corner Bistro at Courtyard Marriott, Brix Wine Café and more! Grill-Off – Taking place inside the Kirkland Uncorked Tasting Garden with Lake Washington as the backdrop, three chefs will face off in the highly anticipated grill-off Saturday, July 16 at 5:00pm. Food writer and restaurant critic, Nancy Leson, will emcee the grilling dueling alongside NuCulinary’s Naomi Kakiuchi. This is your chance to see three masters grill up a storm.
