  1. Hello!
I am Marieke Gerritsen with NW Epicurean.
NW Epicurean is based in Olympia, Washington and currently highlights
and promotes the local food community through tours within a 100-mile radius of Olympia. (Between Portland and Seattle)
The tours bring guests to multiple culinary
locations to meet the producers and learn about the local food and beverages of South Puget Sound. Guests receive an in-depth educational
tour of the local farms, wineries, breweries, bakeries, butchers, and creameries that sustain our food culture year-round. Tours generally
showcase four locations during a four-to-five hour tour. Tour groups range from 10-25 people on an average.
I just chanced upon your website and I look forward to learning more about you.
Please review our website at http://www.nwepicurean.com/tours
to see what we have in store for the month of February and March…
    Cheers!
    Marieke

  4. Hi Keren!
My name is Lauren Vonville and I am a fifth year Ohio University student completing a BA in english studies. I hope to continue my studies next fall at Boston U in their Masters of Gastronomy program. I happened to run across your blog as I was searching for food forums, blogs and writers. I’m currently in a literary editing and publishing class at OU. The entire quarter we have been working towards our final project: A Literary Journal or Magazine. Because my love for food and cooking is so great, I decided I would create a Literary Food Review. I am asking for any unpublished writing submissions about food. It can be POETRY, FICTION, NON-FICTION, RECIPES, OR EVEN FOOD ART/PHOTOGRAPHY. However, because it is a literary magazine and not particularly a recipe mag, I was hoping to keep the recipe submissions to a minimum (Thank you in advance). If you (or anyone you know) are interested in helping me out, I would greatly appreciate it! These submissions will not be sold to the public (because this is just a project for a grade and not for money), therefore you will be able to resubmit them for publishing to other journals and magazines. Please send submissions to lv293806@ohio.edu. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

PS: I would greatly appreciate it if you could try to send me submissions by Oct. 12th, along with a brief author bio about yourself! I realize this is coming up rather soon, but I would appreciate any help! (and I will accept submissions after the date above, however they may not end up in my magazine). Thank you so much!! 🙂
    Love and Best Food Writing.
    -Lauren
