Winter is playing tricks on us here, the sun comes out for a few days and then the next day it rains like there is no tomorrow. My last Foodportunity event was almost two weeks ago and I am already planning for my next one in Portland on March 7. Want to come for a road trip? I hope so!
I am going to take a break to enjoy a great event with lots of swine, chefs and more known as Cochon 555. Get your tickets for this Sunday’s event. The chefs include John Sundstrom (Lark) Holly Smith (Café Juanita) Rachel Yang (Joule / Revel) Jason Stratton (Spinasse) and Ethan Stowell (Staple & Fancy Mercantile/Ethan Stowell Restaurants) and pigs in all different variations as well as lots of wine.
Other activities include a butcher competition and an optional VIP reception with Black River Caviar, artisan cheeses from DeLaurenti and sustainable oysters from Hama Hama Oyster Company. More information here. You can follow them on twitter as cochon555 or #cochonsea
